You don't need in-app support to take donations; a QR code or link is enough
Life tipsQR code / funding link for donations
Quote
you do not need in app support for this to work. You just need a QR code. All you need is a link so the funding tag could take you out just like we saw at bands.

Summary
Value for value doesn't require app support. At the Bands at Bitcoin event, Dave sent every donation by scanning a QR code on screen. The funding tag can point to any donation page (Lightning, PayPal), and The Board Room gets more monthly donation money through PayPal than through Lightning.
