If, if every, if the message is cost you money, and there's a way to stake it and revert it, then the community can police itself?

Summary
Sphinx's revolutionary idea was charging a tiny amount per message. It's small enough that you chat freely, but it adds anti-spam protection, and if you post something hateful and it's deleted, you lose your money. Staked, revertible payments let the community moderate itself instead of putting top-down moderation on the platform's dime.
Not in the audio. An early view; by ep78 Dave says paid comments stop spam but not determined trolls (see wis-paid-comments-stop-spam-not-trolls).

the real sort of revolutionary thing that they did was charging per message. And if you charge like a tiny little amount, you know, tiny little micro payment per message. It doesn't really if you don't, you don't it's small enough to where you don't think about it.
