A podcast is a concept inferred from feed data
Quote
Since a podcast, excuse me, is just a concept we infer... From the data that's inside of a feed. What you end up is sometimes you're hamstrung.

Summary
A 'podcast' is just a concept inferred from the data in a feed, which creates tension. If a show changes its name (The Incomparable became The Incomparable Mothership), is it the same show? Sometimes yes; sometimes a feed is reused for a different show altogether. Keying only on the data inside the feed makes those calls very hard.
